What are your hours?

We are open to the public all week long, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You are welcome to come by to book an appointment, however, a consultation appointment is needed to speak with an artist. If you are interested in viewing our artists portfolios please click here.

How do I go about making an appointment? 

Start by filling out the consultation form for the artist of your choice with a brief description of what you’re looking to get. Our studio manager will get back to you to book a consultation with that artist so you can discuss the design, size, placement and colour of the tattoo. After the consult, if you’d like to book an appointment we require a minimum $100 nonrefundable deposit.

Consults are free of charge, however you will be required to put down a minimum $100 nonrefundable deposit per session in order to book an appointment. We cannot give price estimates over the phone or email. There are too many different factors that go into pricing a tattoo such as considering size, detail, placement on the body, colour or black and grey. We also need to consider how much drawing will need to be done for the tattoo.

We can accept e-transfers for out of Okanagan clients deposits only, not for the cost of the tattoo. You can send your e-transfer to work.dontlookdown@gmail.com which is set up for auto-deposit. In the message area please indicate your artist and date booked. Please send a screenshot of the confirmation to dontlookdowntattoo@gmail.com

Yes, we accept Debit, Visa, or Mastercard.

Small tattoos do not always require a consultation, you can come for a walk-in when there is time available. If you’d like to go straight to booking an appointment we would still require a minimum $100 deposit.

 Our shop is 18+ only, regardless of parental consent. We won’t tattoo pregnant/breast feeding women, anyone with a transmittable disease or undergoing chemotherapy. Please note, we will not tattoo anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

No. You must be 18 years of age or older and have proper (government-issued) identification to get a tattoo. We require 2 pieces of I.D. for anyone who looks younger than 25. 

We charge by the hour, and our hourly rate is $200 + taxes. For smaller pieces that are less than an hour, we would charge the minimum shop rate of $150 +tax. If you would like a specific quote on a tattoo please book a consultation.

Yes, a minimum $100 deposit is required to book an appointment with any artist. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits are rolled over until your LAST appointment, at which time it can be redeemed towards your tattoo.

We require 48 hours notice if you want to change or cancel your appointment, or your deposit will be forfeited.

Unfortunately due to COVID we are not allowing you to bring any friends or family to your appointments, as we must limit the amount of people in the studio. Too many people in the studio can also be distracting to the artist who is trying to do your tattoo. 

Eat properly before you come in for an appointment, and bring yourself enough drinks and snacks to last for your session, low blood sugar and tattoos don’t mix well. Come well rested, showered and free of any lotions or perfumes. You can shave the area you will be getting tattooed the day of your appointment, or the day before if you’d like.

There is 2hr paid street parking available, or $6 for full day parking at the parkades on Ellis St. or Lawrence Ave.

Yes, the Queensway bus terminal is 1.5 blocks from the shop.

We will only tattoo face, necks, hands or knuckles if you are already heavily tattooed. We will also not tattoo anything that perpetuates hatred or prejudice.

Yes! Gift cards are available for purchase at our front desk, or in our online store! Gift cards can be used for tattoos, deposits, aftercare and shop merch. They are however non refundable, and do not guarantee you will receive an appointment with your desired artist. 

No, we can explain why during the consultation appointment.

is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We are located street level at 1484 St. Paul Street, with a small ramp at the door. Our gender neutral bathroom is ADA compliant and equipped with grab bars.
